Michaela is holding the bat she swung... Look at the slight shadowing in front of her face... that is the bat! She foul tipped the ball backwards!
It is amazing that anyone can hit the balls considering how fast they pitch them!

75/365~ My daughter had her first high school fastpitch softball game today... She kept alive by fouling the ball nearly 10 times until she finally was walked and took her base! Way To Go!!!

I got to the school a bit early to pick Michaela up from softball practice... I snapped some pics while no one was looking!

69/365~ Living next door to a school... The crossing guards morning and afternoon routine... then add the buses into the mix. Organized chaos?

What a difference 30 miles makes!!!!!

68/365~ REALLY... It was sunny and clear when I left home this morning! I only drove 30 miles... Everything was such a mess! Thank goodness for 4-wheel drive!!!

67/365~ Well, the calendar says it is almost spring but we woke up this morning to MORE SNOW!!! It wasn't much but my daughter was happy she didn't have softball practice today!

Michaela got a new spring/summer dress today... She LOVES it! She was twirling around my livingroom like a princess. She is so grown up... but still can act like a little girl at times.

I love her so much!!!

44/365~I went for a drive this afternoon not too far from where I live. There are some awesome farms in the area. This is one of the barns.

43/365~ I love this time of year! The days are getting longer and the sunsets around me are AWESOME! I was a bit later than I wanted to be to snap this shot but it is still beautiful!

42/365~Wednesday mornings you can usually find me cleaning house for an older couple I know. After I got my job done I had to get a pic of these little guys!

37/365~Tire on order. I have had my car for almost two years now but this is the 3rd nail my tires have picked up. I think there are magnets in them! I bought all new tires last fall to have for the winter. This nail destroyed the tire by digging into the sidewall- Of course the tire place didn't have it in stock. It will ship on Monday. Is it me but I find it strange that they have all the tires in the store and none will fit on my car? Oh well...It's under warranty, I guess that is one plus!

36/365~This is in a park with some awsome big trees. I went there to take a totally different kind of picture but I loved the church in the background.

33/365~ My daughter Michaela is credited with taking the pic of the day today. She was messing around with my camera while we were out and about today. She shot this pic of the colorful bands on her wrist.

32/365~ I was looking around for something to click for my picture of the day... when I looked up and saw the cool shadow being cast behind one of my dining room chairs.

31/365~It seems as if this book is never very far from my side these days. After being diagnosed as Insulin Resistant in July 2008... Eating for me has taken on a whole new life.

30/365~ Eager Anticipation... I took Tess to the field at the school this afternoon to play one of her favorite toys. The Chuck-It. She will run and fetch until she is exhausted. Unfortunately, her state of exhaustion only lasts for about 5 minutes. BTW-all the doggie prints in the sand...They are all hers!

27/365~ Today was a lunch-on-the-run day. A hotdog and diet coke from Costco. The Coca-Cola logo was begging to be the pic of the day!

26/365~ Can you see the forest through the trees? So often out vision is obscured by objects in our way. Things are not always as bad as they may seem when you first look at them. It sometimes takes a closer look through the primary point of view. Angle changes and looking at a smaller part of the larger picture are many times helpful. First look at these trees, others may not notice that there is in fact a forest behind them...

25/365~ We were dusted with a light covering of snow once again during the night. On my morning walk I had to laugh at these crow tracks... There wasn't much snow but this guy just had to do his balancing act walking down the parking curb!

24/365~ This bumper sticker grabbed my heart today when I saw it. Especially after some of our new president's doings of this week... It says it all.
